Dear Bold Readers,
Last night (March 8th, 2023) we celebrated our first anniversary with a special ribbon-cutting execution for the official opening of Bold Properties Aruba. Bold was founded by Mrs. Aileen Kelly and Mrs. Jenniffer Figaroa and as we have been implementing the BOLD approach in all our efforts since we were officially founded last March 8th, 2022, we are delighted to be celebrating our upcoming first anniversary which coincided with the global celebration of International Women's Day.
Our team consists of seven BOLD women up until the present moment (mostly working mothers), and we wanted to make this event, a meaningful one. For that, we intended to take this occasion to embrace the importance of women in the business industry of Aruba. Our celebration's theme was one of International Women's Day this year: DigitALL: Innovation and Technology for gender equality.
Our first female Prime Minister of Aruba was present to officiate the ribbon-cutting ceremony and our excellency profoundly highlighted the importance of celebrating women to the audience so that together we could magnify women's empowerment on a lovely evening. Afterwards, our minister of economy, communication, and sustainable development, Mr. Geoffrey Wever, mentioned inspiring words about women in the real estate industry of our island. Our minister of Finance and Culture, Ms. Xiomara Maduro, was also present last night and shared how important it is to join forces and celebrate this day.
Then, Aileen and Jenn directed a few words where the origins of Bold were mentioned along with all we have accomplished as a company. One frequently asked question to Aileen was the meaning of her dress. To this, Aileen wanted to share that it represents all the powerful women in her life who've always supported her in everything that she does, the community around her. She asked these women (including our team!) to write meaningful messages so that she could share these during our celebration.
Also present during this event were partners whom we work closely with on our day-to-day operations.
Moreover, to bring our idea for the event to life, Swingmasterz, especially Mr. Jesse Mac-Jannet, was very attentive and provided us with their equipment. Offering the perfect ambiance of music for our night, was the energetic Dj, beautiful Ms. Vanessa Leer. The Little One was present as well giving us an excellent service and delicious beverages.
Of course, food is always important at a celebration, and we did not disappoint as we provided various snacks meticulously chosen, throughout the celebration, such as mini burger sliders and our local favorite, cheese pastechi!
Finally, we toasted to a successful year as we closed this evening and danced boldly for the remaining part of the night.
